FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How early should conference video be considered in the planning process?
Earlier than most organisers expect. Once video is factored into the agenda, staging and speaker scheduling, the quality of the final coverage improves significantly. Decisions like where a keynote sits in the programme or how sessions run back to back can shape what we’re able to capture. Leave it until the final weeks and you limit what the content can become.
What makes effective conference and congress video coverage?
A strong conference video is built around intent, not just a recording of what happened on the day. The best results come from understanding what the footage needs to do afterwards, whether that’s supporting next year’s sponsorship sales, promoting the next edition, or giving delegates who couldn’t attend a reason to watch. We shoot with that outcome in mind, so the edit tells a clear story rather than feeling like a highlights reel with no purpose.
How do you decide which sessions and moments are worth capturing?
We plan for structure but leave room for instinct. Keynotes, panel sessions and KOL interviews are identified in advance, but some of the most valuable content happens between the agenda items. Our approach blends preparation with roaming journalism, so nothing important gets missed and the edit feels engaging rather than procedural.
Can conference content be used beyond social highlights?
Yes, and it should be. Conference footage works hardest when it’s built for multiple uses, such as sponsor prospectuses, delegate recruitment for next year’s event, funding reports and society archives. We regularly structure the shoot and edit so a single conference produces several distinct assets, not just one film.
What level of branding works best for pharma and academic events?
Branding should reinforce credibility and polish without overpowering the science. Motion graphics, sponsor stings and walk-on visuals are designed to support speakers, chairs and sponsors, not distract from them, and we work within the compliance guidelines that pharma and medical events require. The goal is clarity and confidence, not noise.
Is live streaming worth it for a global congress audience?
Often, yes. Live streaming extends your reach to delegates who couldn’t travel, and its real value is accessibility and longevity. High quality streams can be repurposed into on demand content, social clips, and short form assets that live well beyond the event itself. Done properly, it’s a strong investment for a global congress audience.
