WORKING WITH US

Do you work on one-off projects, or only ongoing partnerships?

Both. Some clients commission a single conference film or brand film. Others work with us on a monthly content partnership, where we plan and produce for them every month. Many of our partnerships started as a single project. Projects typically run from £3,000 + VAT, and partnerships from £1,500 per month.

What is a Discovery Session?

A free 90-minute conversation about your organisation and what your content needs to do: where you are, where you want to go, and what is getting in the way. You leave with a written content direction document, whether we end up working together or not. It is the standard starting point for new clients. Book one via our contact page.

Who will actually film and edit our project?

MOTION3 is led by founder Chris Smith, who works on every project personally, from the first strategy session to the final edit. When a project needs more hands, we bring in senior freelance producers, camera operators and editors we have worked with for years. You will always know who is on your job.

Where are you based, and how far do you travel?

We are based in Oxford and work across the UK. Travel and subsistence are charged at cost and added to the final invoice, so you only pay what the trip actually costs.

PRICING AND PAYMENT

How much does video production cost?

Most MOTION3 projects land between £3,000 and £15,000 + VAT. As a guide: brand films run £3,500 to £7,000, single-day event coverage £5,000 to £8,000, multi-day conference packages £10,000 to £16,000, and 3D CGI product films from £7,000. Monthly content partnerships run from £1,500 to £4,000 per month. We publish our pricing because guessing wastes everyone’s time.

What are your payment terms?

For projects: 50% deposit on agreement and 50% on completion, with 14-day payment terms. Partnerships are billed monthly. Travel and subsistence are added to the final invoice at cost.

How many rounds of changes are included?

Every quote includes one to two rounds of amendments per film, agreed upfront. If you need more, we quote the additional edit time honestly before we do the work, never after.

PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY

How long does a video project take?

A typical brand film takes three to six weeks from filming to final delivery, depending on feedback rounds. Event highlight films can be turned around within days, and same-day social media edits are available for conferences.

Can you live stream our event?

Yes. We produce multi-camera live streams and hybrid events, and can provide AV and PA equipment from £1,000 + VAT. We handle the technical side end to end, so you can focus on the event itself.

Can you film evenings and weekends?

Yes. Events happen when they happen, and we crew accordingly. Weekend and evening filming is part of normal event coverage, not a premium extra.

What do you need from us before a shoot?

A clear brief, which we help you build in the Discovery Session, access to the venue or office, and the right people available on the day. We handle everything else: kit, crew, logistics and call sheets.

Do you offer photography as well as video?

Yes. We provide corporate, event and product photography, usually paired with video coverage so one day on site produces both. It is one of the easiest ways to get more from a production budget.
