Careers Fest is an annual gathering in Oxfordshire that connects local businesses with the county’s emerging talent. With around 2500 attendees, primarily young individuals exploring future career prospects, our objective was to create two impactful event highlights videos, one tailored for businesses and another for prospective attendees.
Our strategy for Careers Fest involved the creation of two highlights videos, designed to resonate specifically with two different target demographics.
Efficiently filming two batches of interviews, one with young people/parents, and one with business leaders, allowed us to use similar B-roll for both videos while seamlessly swapping out interviews to adapt the messaging. The business-focused video highlighted professional advantages, attracting interest and sponsorship, while the video for children and parents emphasized the event’s educational and enjoyable aspects, encouraging attendance for the upcoming year.
The dual-targeted Careers Fest Highlights Videos maximized engagement by tailoring content for distinct audiences. Efficiently filmed interviews allowed for adaptable messaging, encouraging attendance for the upcoming year and diversifying audience participation.
The videos served as versatile promotional tools, strategically shared on social media and the OxLEP website. This ensured continuous engagement with both business partners and the community, extending the impact of Careers Fest beyond the event and fostering sustained interest and in the lead up to next year's event.
