AI is moving fast, and so are the questions it raises. The Oxford Collaboration on Theology and Artificial Intelligence (OCTAI) invited thinkers, engineers, and theologians from around the world to tackle: how do we build technology that serves humanity, not just efficiency?
At the heart of this was “The Oxford Oath” – a proposed moral framework for AI practitioners, inspired by the Hippocratic Oath in medicine. The event marked a key moment in shaping how responsibility, vocation, and faith intersect with technology.
Oxford University asked MOTION3 to capture the energy and significance of this workshop, creating films and photography that would connect academic insight with a wider audience.
APPROACH
We designed a production plan that focused on storytelling and speed. Across two days, our crew captured interviews with leading voices from around the world, b-roll footage of the workshop discussions, and narrative-driven pieces with the facilitators of the Oxford Oath.
To keep the conversation alive while the event unfolded, we produced:
- Daily highlight videos for rapid online release
- Network Voices films spotlighting key participants
- An overall highlight film that distilled the essence of the workshop
- A donor-focused film crafted to show OCTAI’s global impact and vision
- Full photography coverage across both days
All content was edited, graded, and delivered within one week – giving OCTAI a complete visual package ready to share with their academic network, partners, and funders.
