Wharton Electronics, a British clockmaking company based in Thame, has been keeping the world on time for over 50 years. They are known for designing and building intelligent time systems, and their products are trusted by global industries where precision is non-negotiable. To mark their 50th anniversary, Wharton approached us to create a brand film that would honour their legacy and capture the next chapter of their story.
APPROACH
Wharton Electronics was founded by Eric Wharton in 1975, and since then, the business has grown into a global leader in bespoke digital clocks and synchronised timing systems. Today, that legacy is continued by his son, Alastair Wharton.
To mark this milestone, we set out to produce a film that was authentic, emotive, and reflective of Wharton’s values: precision, quality, and innovation. Over two days, our crew filmed on-site in Thame, capturing a master interview with Alastair alongside supporting interviews with key team members across their manufacturing departments.
We complemented these interviews with cinematic b-roll, drone footage of the site, and detail shots of their bespoke manufacturing process. The final film captures Wharton’s journey from a family-run workshop to a global name in timekeeping.
In addition to the full brand film, we produced a short trailer version optimised for social platforms.
