The Examination Schools is one of Oxford’s largest and most impressive event spaces — grand Victorian halls on the High Street that, through Oxford University Event Venues (OUEV), host conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners and awards ceremonies. OUEV wanted a film that conveys both the grandeur and the sheer capacity of the building, helping organisers of larger events see it as a serious option in the centre of Oxford. We produced a venue showcase that leads with scale and flexibility — the two things a conference or exhibition planner most needs to know.
APPROACH
Big rooms are hard to film well; we shot the Examination Schools to make its scale legible — using movement and wide, architectural framing to give a true sense of ceiling height, capacity and the flow between spaces. We captured the halls both open and dressed, so organisers can read the venue for anything from a plenary conference to a gala dinner, then edited to a confident pace with clean titling and vertical cutdowns for social. The film sits alongside our Bodleian showcase as part of a set for OUEV — each one built to win a specific venue search and give the OUEV team a ready link to send to enquiring organisers.
