MOTION3 collaborated closely with Connected Places: Catapult to craft a compelling series of 6 case study videos spotlighting the ground-breaking endeavours of businesses delving into drone technology. These enterprises had received funding from the Department for Transport (UK Government), and our mission was to not only document their achievements but to inspire a broader audience of businesses, showcasing the transformative potential of strategic funding in this dynamic sector.

APPROACH

Undertaking this project posed a logistical puzzle, requiring us to traverse the length and breadth of the UK, reaching businesses in Edinburgh, Preston, Bedford, and Southampton. To overcome this challenge, we meticulously selected a streamlined kit capable of capturing high-quality footage while remaining versatile and portable for travel by plane and car.

While we couldn’t personally engage with each business, we ensured comprehensive communication by briefing them on the filming process. This included details about the interview questions, the filming session structure, and a loose plan for capturing relevant B-roll footage.

In addition, we elevated the production with bespoke motion graphics, incorporating branded intros, question cards, and compelling calls to action, providing a visually engaging experience for the audience.
